Goodbye Darna…

All things must come to an end. After 9 months on television, last night was the episode finale of Darna.

I just hate how they end the story. First, Darna’s final battle with Valentina was so lame. With just one hit of the red light emitted by her red stone, Valentina fainted and died. Second, the Captain Barbell teaser destroyed the denouement of the story. With or without him, it can still have a great ending. I hope GMA7 will not end Encantadia like this.

    YES… YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!

I WOULD’VE LAMBASTED MY TV SCREEN AFTER SEEING CAPTAIN BARBELL DO HIS STEREOTYPICAL HEROIC TONE OF INTRODUCTION. HA! WAS IT A RUSH FOR GMA7?

I LOVED DARNA SERIES ON ITS FIRST FEW EPISODES. BUT AFTER SENSING ERIC QUIZON’S HOMOSEXUAL IDEALS AND CREATIVITY, I WAS FRUSTRATED.

THAT CONCLUSION WAS A BIG MISTAKE. THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE A HECK LOT BETTER THAN THAT!

I never liked Darna at all.

I’m referring to the story not the heroine. The writer thought that the audience are from the boondocks that they can spindle any plot that could not even pass a child’s bedtime story.

Sorry to say that they have doomed Darna’s purpose of being the Philippines or even the earth’s lady defender.

Hopefully channel 7 would ditch the writers who carnaged Darna’s history.
