It was another tiring run yesterday for me, Pooh, and his friends at Del Monte’s Dare to be Fit ‘n Right Fun Run 2009, 5K division. We got our race packs last week with a singlet, and a race bib with an electronic chip for time recording. We arrived at SM Mall Of Asia at around 5:00AM and had our breakfast at Starbucks, need the energy to get going and of course, for the Starbucks Planner stickers. Hahaha!

Anyway, the event started late, i think it was already 6:30AM when it started, well, gunshot supposedly at 6:00AM. Fitness First is one of the sponsors and I saw Andre Sunga, one of the Body Jam instructors, did the warm up of Body Jam 48, Ne-Yo’s Closer (Stonebridge Club Remix).

Then we started running. Whew! Sweat much. Can’t wait for the results.

After the run, the people was still racing to get their belongings and Del Monte products in the courtesy booth. No line. Go figure. Errrr. Anyway, there were also some performances, announcements, and raffles. A Lenovo laptop was also given away, but they tried drawing 10 times I think to get the winner, since the people they called left already. Too bad my number was not called. Hehehe.

Last Thursday was our 7th Monthsary. Rodney planned to surprise me by acting he doesn’t remember the date. But I blew that surprise away. He also disclosed that he actually had a gift for me as part of his surprise. I suspect that it’s Clinique Happy for Men, because he bluntly asked me if I love wearing perfumes and what brand.

So after my Thursday office work, I went straight to Fitness First Robinson’s Place Manila to meet him and work out. Then after, we decided to have our dinner at Don Henerico’s Malate. Before we pig out our Chicken ala Buffalo Solo Pack and Chili Shrimp Pasta in Olive Oil, he enthusiastically handed his gift for me. It’s not an orange-bottled perfume, but it’s a precious diamond ring! I was so speechless that time. I didn’t even expect it to be a ring. If only we were in a private spot, I will definitely cry and hug him tight. That evening was undeniably unforgettable one for the both of us. I love you very much Beh.

4th Saturday of August. Nice, no half-day work. Rodney and I went to Fitness First ABS-CBN and attended the Body Combat class. Then after, he suggested to have our lunch at Cafea near the TV station. This is one of his all-time favorite resto in the metro.

But along the way walking at the side of ELJ building, we spotted a colorful residence. It was Pinoy Big Brother house! Oh my! This is it! I grabbed my phone and took a picture! So now we know how superb it is. Then we had our lunch. I ordered classic pesto, iced tea, and cookies ‘n’ cream delight — a very tall glass containing iced coffee, ice cream, whip cream, oreo, and stick-0. I intentionally let my Motorola E398 stand before it to see how tall it really was.

We called it a day and went home. It’s nice to have a sudden glimpse before Big Brother’s doors.

While working out at Fitness First Eastwood, Rodney and I saw an advertisement regarding this marathon hosted by UP Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (UP JPIA) for the benefit of its Long Term Education Assistance Program (LEAP). As expected, Rodney was so eager to join. Not for the reason that he wanted to help the school organization, but to get a free souvenir sando! Haha! Anyway, we signed up and paid P150 each. The race was scheduled on a Sunday.

Sunday came. We arrived at UP Diliman Campus at around 4:30AM. The sky was still dark though. We got our numbers and deposited our bags. The race started at around 6:00AM. Since I’m not used to do marathon races, running, jogging, and walking the 6KM race was incredibly tiring, I swear.

At last, we got to the finish line. Whew! I don’t care anymore if what place I landed in the race. For sure, it was on hundreds already. Then we claimed our souvenir sandos! Finally! Haha!

After this “Oblation Run”-like marathon, we went straight to Fitness First Ortigas to take a shower. Lastly, we had our lunch at the Megamall Foodcourt.
